The IRGC Public Relations Department announced in a statement on Wednesday that in response to the aggressive actions of the “terrorist army of the Great Satan” and its evil harassment of Iranian oil tankers and vessels, the powerful Aerospace Force of the IRGC attacked the US DDG-119 and DDG-53 combat destroyers carrying cruise missiles and Aegis weapon systems with powerful ballistic missiles in an operation to punish the aggressor.
“As a result of this attack, these vessels were significantly damaged,” the IRGC said.
The IRGC and other armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran continue to declare their firm determination to respond to the helpless and desperate actions of the US regime and warn the enemy against any miscalculations, the statement added.
