The IRGC Public Relations Department said in a statement on Thursday that American leaders should respond to public opinion regarding their attacks on weddings in various countries.
Addressing free nations of the world, and the heroic and epic nation of Iran, the statement noted that a day earlier, the terrorist CENTCOM, in an unforgettable war crime, turned the wedding celebration of a noble family from the Kuhestak region of Sirik County in southern Iran into mourning.
“American terrorist forces have injured nearly 70 people, 4 of whom were martyred and 7 of the injured are reported to be in serious condition,” it said.
“Since last night, following the reaction of the people, media, and free personalities of the world, and even some American media outlets, to this great scandal, the child-killing army and the criminal officials of the United States have been trying to deny the intentional nature of this crime in numerous statements and declarations and are repeating their ridiculous claim that they did not attack civilians. However, the barbarity of the American terrorist army in this regard is a recurring precedent, and the shame of this crime will not be erased from the foreheads of the leaders of the White House.”
The statement went on to enumerate similar attacks by the US forces on wedding ceremonies in different countries:
“Today, it has been proven to the nations of the world that attacking civilians to create fear and terror is part of the doctrine of the cowardly American army:
July 1, 2002: More than 100 martyrs in the bombing of a wedding in the village of Kakarak, Uruzgan Province, Afghanistan
September 18, 2003: At leadt 5 killed and injured in the bombing of a wedding in the city of Fallujah, Iraq
May 19, 2004: 42 martyrs in the bombing of a wedding in the village of Bakr al-Dhib, Anbar Province, Iraq
October 8, 2004: 13 martyrs, including the groom, in the bombing of a wedding in the city of Fallujah, Iraq
July 6, 2008: 47 martyrs, including the bride, in the bombing of a wedding in Deh Bala, Nangarhar, Afghanistan
November 2008: 37 martyrs, including 23 children, in the bombing of a wedding in Wajh Baghto, Kandahar, Afghanistan
June 2012: 18 martyrs, including 9 children, in the bombing of a wedding in Logar, Afghanistan
September 28, 2015: 131 female martyrs and a child martyr in the bombing of the wedding in Hajjah, Taiz, Yemen (US-backed coalition)
September 1, 2026: 70 martyrs and injured in the bombing of the wedding in Kuhestak, Sirik, Hormozgan, Iran.”
The IRGC added that the American leaders, instead of apologizing, have resorted to lies and, like the crimes committed against civilians in Minab, Lamerd and Qeshm, have evaded accountability.
“It would be good for them to respond to the world public opinion about the black case of their attacks on weddings in different countries. Were all these incidents accidental and by mistake?”
The statement concluded by saying, “We have (the necessary) military power, and just last night, we retaliated by killing (a number of) bloodthirsty CENTCOM terrorists. If the American people do not stop this barbaric army of child killers, they should fear the time when the day of revenge for the oppressed will come.”
