Iran Gearing Up for Threats of Next 50 Years: Defense Chief

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The caretaker Defense Minister of Iran said the country is studying future threats and designing its defense trajectory to prepare for challenges over the next 50 years, drawing on lessons and intelligence gained from recent confrontation with the enemies.

In remarks on Sunday, Brigadier General Majid Ebn al-Reza said Iran had obtained extensive intelligence and technological findings about the enemy and has gained a better understanding of its tactical patterns and methods of operation.

“This experience led us to review our priorities and areas of focus and to chart our future course more precisely,” he said.

The caretaker defense minister added that the enemy’s objectives have been carefully identified and assessed, with the necessary intelligence provided to operational forces.

He noted that the Iranian Armed Forces, through precise calculations and effective management of targets, have been able to inflict significant blows on the enemy.

Iran fought the recent US-Israeli war of aggression asymmetrically and efficiently, while the enemy had entered the battlefield at a much higher cost, the general stated.

“We are preparing ourselves for the threats of the next 50 years,” Ebn al-Reza said.
