In a message to Caretaker Defense Minister Brigadier General Majid Ebn al-Reza marking Iran’s Defense Industry Day on August 22, Major General Ali Abdollahi described the country’s defense industry as a manifestation of indigenous and deterrent power in the face of unjust sanctions and the hostile alignment of the “child-killing hegemonic powers.”
Major General Abdollahi said Defense Industry Day commemorates the tireless efforts of experts, specialists and committed personnel at the Defense Ministry, particularly those who were martyred while contributing to the development of Iran’s defense deterrence through faith and knowledge.
He described the defense industry as an indispensable pillar of national power and a key factor in consolidating Iran’s security and dignity.
Developments at the Defense Ministry in recent years, he said, have gone beyond the production of military equipment and amounted to a “deterrent defense industrial revolution.”
According to the commander, this strategic transformation encompasses design, technology management, defense economics, a knowledge-based supply chain and a smart production model capable of ensuring success on the battlefield, while providing an intelligent response to the complexities of present and future warfare.
Major General Abdollahi attributed Iran’s defense achievements to the culture of self-reliance established by the founder of the Islamic Republic, Imam Khomeini (RA), and the guidance of martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, saying their emphasis on scientific self-sufficiency and deterrent power paved the way for the emergence of extensive defensive and offensive capabilities.
He said the results of those efforts have become evident both regionally and beyond, including during the “second and third Sacred Defense” against the US-Zionist imposed war.
The top commander paid tribute to those martyred in Iran’s defense industry and stressed that the Iranian Armed Forces maintain comprehensive, smart and up-to-date readiness across all domains, including land, sea, air, air defense, space and cyberspace.
He warned that any “miscalculation” or conventional or emerging threat from adversaries would be met with “revolutionary, crushing, regret-inducing and devastating responses.”
