The Iranian Army said the operation targeted specific sites in occupied Palestine, including the Israeli military intelligence directorate known as Aman, Unit 8200, the Green Pine radar system and the headquarters building for submarines at the Haifa naval base.
According to the statement, the attacks began before dawn and were continuing.
Aman is part of Israel’s intelligence structure and is involved in identifying targets and supporting military operations.
Unit 8200 is responsible for signals intelligence collection, monitoring digital communications and conducting offensive cyber operations.
Meanwhile, the Green Pine radar system has served as a key element of Israel’s missile defense network against Iranian missiles, and damage to such systems could significantly reduce the ability to intercept incoming missile attacks.
Separately, the Hebrew-language newspaper Maariv, citing Western media reports, said the destruction of a highly advanced US radar in Jordan had dealt a heavy blow to the United States.
In another part of its report, the paper said the attack on a US air defense system in Jordan represented a significant blow to US military capabilities and its support for Israel’s defenses against Iranian attacks.
Maariv also said that actions by the United States, including initial US-Israeli strikes, had strengthened the position of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC).
