Qalibaf Slams Riots As Continuation of 12-Day War

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf described the recent deadly riots in the country as the continuation of the 12-day war that the US and the Zionist regime imposed in June 2025.

Addressing a mass rally in support of the Islamic Republic, held in Tehran on Monday, Qalibaf said the enemies initiated the recent violent riots and unrest in Iran as the second phase of the 12-day war.

Pointing to the US and Israel’s opposition to a strong and independent Iran, the Parliament speaker described the riots as the continuation of the 12-day war.

Qalibaf also condemned the US president’s blatant interference in the internal affairs of Iran and his overt threats, saying Washington had plans to incite a civil war in Iran.

Violent rioters favoring monarchy vandalized public and private properties in a number of cities across Iran in recent days, killing some ordinary people and security forces and inflicting injuries on others.

The rioters backing monarchy vandalized public properties, blocked streets, attacked the administrative buildings and Police stations, and injured a number of security and law enforcement forces.
