In a message marking the National Day of Fighting Global Arrogance, Major General Abdollahi said the confrontation between Iran and the US has gone beyond a military conflict and is reshaping the global balance of power.
He described the Strait of Hormuz, a vital energy chokepoint, and the ability to determine the rules governing access to it as key sources of Iran’s influence.
Iran does not seek war and regards military power as a means rather than an end, the top general stated, adding that the country’s doctrine has evolved from defense to offensive initiative and from crisis management to shaping a new regional order.
Major General Abdollahi outlined five principles for Iran’s plan for lasting security:
1. An end to the war on all fronts, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza, saying negotiations conducted alongside threats amount to coercion.
2. The complete removal of sanctions and the release of Iran’s frozen assets.
3. Compensation for the imposed wars, stressing that the Iranian nation is a claimant, not a debtor.
4. Recognition of Iran’s sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz and replacement of the US security umbrella with a “Hormuz mechanism.”
5. Guarantees against renewed aggression and the establishment of indigenous security arrangements in West Asia.
The general said these principles do not constitute a peace proposal made from a position of weakness, but rather a doctrine for shaping a new order from a position of strength and active resistance.
Major General Abdollahi, speaking on behalf of the Armed Forces, also reaffirmed their readiness to confront threats. He said the forces consider smart military preparedness, backed by popular support, an essential requirement for maximum deterrence.
He warned that Iran is updating its target bank and placing the material and non-material assets of the US and Israeli adversaries within range. Any threat, regardless of its level or nature, would be met with an immediate and effective response “without geographical limitations,” he said.
The message also paid tribute to the martyrs of the Islamic Revolution and Iran, particularly martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and reaffirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to the directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei.
