Pointing to successive defeats suffered by the US military in West Asia, Major General Abdollahi said Iran’s Armed Forces have rendered the US Navy ineffective, despite Washington’s reliance on it as a symbol of American power to threaten the region and the world.
The top commander noted that the US navy has lost its ability to approach the Persian Gulf and Iran’s territorial waters.
“The US president should only dream of his military personnel and armed forces entering the Persian Gulf again,” Major General Abdollahi said, adding that the Americans would “take this wish to their graves forever.”
The senior commander stressed that Iran would under no circumstances or at any time permit US military vessels to enter the Persian Gulf.
The Iranian commander further challenged Washington’s claims about having destroyed Iran’s military capabilities, asking why American forces and vessels have not dared to approach the Strait of Hormuz or Iran’s maritime and land borders if they were truly confident that the country’s military capabilities have been eliminated.
He described US warships as “rusty” and American military personnel as “cowardly,” arguing that their reluctance to approach Iran’s borders contradicts Washington’s claims.
Major General Abdollahi said Iran’s leadership, people, Armed Forces and officials are determined to ensure that the US and its “illegitimate offspring,” the Zionist regime, along with their “cowardly and aggressor armies,” would sink ever deeper into the quagmire they have created themselves.
