The day before, on Putin’s birthday, Trump stated that his phone call with the Russian president had been arranged.
"Not yet. We’ll let you know," Peskov replied when asked whether the call had already been coordinated with the Russian side and whether there was an understanding of when it might take place.
Earlier, the Kremlin noted that the call could be arranged quickly if such an initiative were put forward.
Since the beginning of this year, the Russian and US presidents have held five phone calls in total. The most recent call took place on September 8.
