Major General Hatami made the remarks during a meeting with Mehrdad Akhlaqi, the nominee for Iran’s Minister of Defense.
The Army chief praised the efforts of the country’s specialized, committed and revolutionary defense-industry personnel during the wars of aggression imposed by the US and the Zionist regime, saying that despite attempts by the enemy to halt the production chain for military equipment and weapons, Defense Ministry managers and personnel continued their work with firm determination.
He said the defense industry’s production lines “did not stop serving and working for a moment” even under the most critical circumstances during the aggression, preventing the enemies of Iran from achieving their objectives.
Hatami stressed that the recent imposed war demonstrated that Iran’s indigenous defense industry has truly served as a strong support for the country’s combat forces and would continue to do so.
He added that under the guidance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Hosseini Khamenei, the efforts of the Armed Forces and the Iranian people’s vigilant presence in all arenas, “all the enemy’s calculations and objectives have been defeated.”
“The sworn enemies of the Islamic Republic are facing historic confusion in the face of the power of the great Iranian nation and engage in empty rhetoric every day,” Hatami said.
Akhlaqi, who currently serves as managing director of Iran’s Defense Industries Organization, thanked the Army for its cooperation and synergy with the organization during his tenure.
Akhlaqi also expressed hope that Iran’s powerful Armed Forces, which he said have repeatedly created epic achievements and frustrated the enemy’s objectives, would achieve the “final victory,” namely the expulsion of the US from the region.
