The Foreign Ministry issued a statement on Tuesday in response to Benjamin Netanyahu’s visit to the UAE.
“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran strongly condemns the visit of Benjamin Netanyahu, the child-killing and warmongering prime minister of the Zionist regime, to the United Arab Emirates and warns about the highly dangerous consequences of the presence of the occupying regime in the region,” it said.
“At a time when the West Asia region is at one of the most fragile and sensitive junctures in its history due to the Zionist regime’s military aggression against Iran and the intensification of occupation and genocide in Islamic lands, particularly Palestine and Lebanon, the presence of a criminal whose hands are stained with the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people and who is being prosecuted by international courts is highly dangerous and alarming,” the statement added.
“There is no doubt that, given the Zionist regime’s proven hostility and animosity toward Iran and other countries in the region, as well as the regime’s repeated threats against the Islamic Republic of Iran, all countries in the region should be vigilant about the consequences and repercussions of such a presence, which threatens the collective peace and security of the region,” the Foreign Ministry stated.
“Regional security is a collective and indivisible matter, and any move that paves the way for the entry of actors that create insecurity into the region will ultimately be detrimental to all regional countries and will lead to further division, insecurity and instability in West Asia,” it warned.
“Accordingly, regional governments are expected, by understanding their responsibility toward regional peace and stability, to refrain from providing the groundwork for the destructive presence of the Zionist regime and not allow the territory of regional countries to become a platform for destabilizing actions against other countries in the region,” the Foreign Ministry said.
