Israeli air and drone strikes continued across Gaza on Sunday, killing one Palestinian and wounding at least six others as the US-brokered ceasefire remained fragile and repeated attacks continued to be reported across the enclave.
An Israeli strike hit a makeshift tent in al-Mawasi earlier in the day, killing a 28-year-old Palestinian man and wounding several others, according to emergency services.
In Gaza City, an Israeli drone targeted a group of Palestinians in the Shati refugee camp, while Israeli drones were also reported flying over central Gaza.
Repeated Israeli shelling was heard along the eastern edges of central and southern Gaza, adding to concerns over the continuing violations of the ceasefire.
The latest casualties came as Gaza’s Health Ministry reported that the Palestinian death toll from Israel’s genocidal war since October 2023 had risen to at least 74,018, with 175,079 people wounded.
The ministry said two bodies were brought to Gaza hospitals during the latest 24-hour reporting period, while 11 people were wounded.
It said the recorded death toll since the October ceasefire had reached at least 1,417, with 4,964 people wounded, while 834 bodies had been recovered from beneath the rubble.
