The ministry said the attacks targeted a market in the Al-Taiziyah district of Taiz, describing the strikes as a violation of international and humanitarian law and part of a broader pattern of attacks against civilians and infrastructure.
The ministry called for the formation of independent international investigative committees to hold those responsible accountable and demanded an end the blockade imposed on Yemen.
Meanwhile, Yemeni media reported further Saudi air and missile strikes on several areas across the country, including the Maran district in Sa’ada Province and Al-Taiziyah district in Taiz.
Al Masirah television reported that Saudi forces launched missile strikes on Maran, while Saudi fighter jets carried out four rounds of airstrikes on Al-Taiziyah.
The Yemeni outlet also reported that Saudi warplanes struck commercial shops at a market near the Maawiyah intersection in Al-Taiziyah, causing casualties among civilians.
Separately, reports said Saudi aircraft also targeted the Baqim district in Sa’ada Province and carried out multiple strikes on Maran and Saqain districts.
Yemen’s armed forces spokesman Brigadier General Yahya Saree said Saudi fighter jets, including F-15 and Typhoon aircraft operating from Khamis Mushait and Taif air bases, carried out 27 airstrikes over the past 24 hours against Taiz, Marib, Sa’ada, Amran, Ibb and Hajjah provinces.
He said the total number of Saudi air and missile attacks since the beginning of the latest escalation has reached 1,059.
Taiz has remained one of the main areas affected by the recent escalation, with the province witnessing repeated Saudi air raids in recent weeks.
On September 22, an attack on the Al-Mokha port area in Taiz killed six civilians, including two children and a woman, according to Yemeni reports.
Sa’ada Province in northern Yemen, which borders Saudi Arabia, has also repeatedly come under air, missile and artillery attacks since 2015, with border districts including Qataber, Razeh, Ghamr and Al-Dhahir among the most affected areas.
