Pezeshkian told King Salman that the extensive cultural, economic and political commonalities between Iran and Saudi Arabia provide a strong foundation for friendship between the two Muslim nations and can further strengthen their shared ties.
The Iranian president also expressed hope that continued mutual efforts would lead to growing relations between the two countries across all areas, his official website reported.
In a separate message to the crown prince, Pezeshkian extended his congratulations and expressed hope that joint efforts and the effective use of existing capacities would help expand brotherly cooperation in political, economic and cultural fields.
