Israeli regime forces stormed several homes in Jaba and destroyed residents’ belongings before arresting 27-year-old Abdul Rahman Adel Ghanem, about two weeks after his release.
The mayor of Jaba, Mohammed al-Badad, told Wafa that the guard at the nearby illegal Tarsala settlement, accompanied by a group of Israeli settlers and soldiers, assaulted Palestinian farmer Ismail Awad Ismail and his son Makram, arrested them and seized their tractor.
Al-Badad added that Israeli regime forces remain stationed at the town’s entrance, restricting residents’ movement.
Meanwhile, more than 200 Israeli settlers, escorted by Israeli regime forces, stormed the outskirts of al-Mazra’a al-Sharqiya early in the morning, according to sources from the town’s municipality cited by Wafa.
The settlers smashed vehicles and damaged homes during the assault, with at least four vehicles and two houses vandalised, Wafa reported.
The occupied West Bank has remained a major flashpoint amid a sustained escalation of Israeli regime military raids, arrests and settler attacks targeting Palestinian communities, homes and agricultural land. Palestinian authorities and local communities have repeatedly reported raids on towns and refugee camps, arrests of residents, restrictions on movement and attacks on property by Israeli settlers, often accompanied or protected by Israeli regime forces.
