At 10:30am local time, the average price of diesel reached €2.41 per liter. AFP calculated the figure using prices published by more than 8,700 service stations on the French Economy Ministry’s website. It surpassed the previous record set just one day earlier.
SP95-E10, France’s best-selling petrol grade, cost more than €2.17 per liter on Sunday morning, based on data from over 6,700 service stations. Its average price has remained above the peak recorded in 2022 for more than 10 days.
The average price of SP98 petrol also exceeded €2.28 per liter on Sunday, according to figures from more than 6,800 service stations.
