The al-Quds Governorate said the orders were issued against an unspecified number of residential buildings and commercial shops that were constructed years ago.
The targeted buildings are located near the separation and annexation wall, which was built on Palestinian land, according to the report.
Some of the buildings are also located near the Qalandia Technical Education Institute.
Meanwhile, the Israeli regime continues its policy of demolishing Palestinian homes and facilities and leveling Palestinian land.
Documented figures show that 33 demolition and land-leveling operations were recorded in August, including demolitions carried out by Palestinian residents themselves as well as those conducted by Israeli bulldozers.
These demolition operations are taking place alongside the continued expansion of settlement projects and the confiscation of Palestinian land, policies aimed at changing the character of the city and imposing new realities on the ground.
In al-Quds, Israeli regime authorities have pursued what Palestinian officials describe as a systematic policy of demolishing Palestinian homes and facilities.
By imposing restrictions that make obtaining building permits effectively impossible and enforcing a policy of “forced self-demolition” under the threat of heavy financial penalties, the Israeli regime is seeking to forcibly displace al-Quds’s Palestinian residents and reduce their presence in favor of projects aimed at the Judaization of the city and the expansion of settlements.
