Addressing a meeting with a group of retirees on Monday, Pezeshkian condemned the crimes committed by the US and the Zionist regime against the Iranian people, saying that those who claim to uphold human rights and humanity are using the tools and technologies at their disposal to kill innocent children, civilians and, in particular, then Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The president described unity and cohesion as the key to resisting US bullying, emphasizing that Iran will never bow to Washington if the country maintains solidarity and cooperation.
“If we have empathy and synergy in the country and can preserve unity and cohesion, we will never bow to America,” Pezeshkian said.
He added that the US is resorting to bullying and seeking social disintegration through the problems and restrictions it has created. “America has closed the routes and is seeking to create divisions in the country,” he stated.
Pezeshkian further pointed to the use of tools and technology by the US and the Israeli regime, saying that they have created a terrorist state and assassinated anyone they wished.
He also criticized the labeling of innocent people in Gaza as terrorists, stressing that the people there did not even have water and food to consume.
The president further noted that Iran is currently working to strengthen relations with neighboring countries, saying cooperation among the countries could help address their problems and concerns. “If we join hands, we can address the issues and concerns,” he said.
Pezeshkian noted that although the US has closed the sea routes, Iran’s level of interaction with other friendly and neighboring countries has increased through land routes.
