While inspecting the combat readiness and capabilities of the 16th Armored Division in Qazvin, Brigadier General Ali Jahanshahi highlighted the readiness of Army Ground Force units to confront threats.
He said the force maintains an active presence at the country’s borders and is fully prepared to safeguard the territorial integrity of Islamic Iran.
Referring to the performance of Army Ground Force units in combat conditions, he said that during recent conflicts, the forces traversed long distances under enemy fire to deploy to designated positions.
“This massive relocation of troops, equipment, and ammunition took place while the enemy was monitoring our movements using drones, aircraft, spy satellites, and other surveillance tools. Indeed, despite harsh and grueling conditions, Army Ground Force combatants carried out their missions and defended the borders of Islamic Iran with high morale.”
Brigadier General Jahanshahi described the presence of Ground Force troops in defensive positions as a source of reassurance for the Iranian nation and a deterrent that disheartens the enemy.
“This powerful presence demonstrates that the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran stand ready at all times, with authority and a Jihadi spirit, to defend the nation’s territory and independence.
