Illegal Israeli Settler Wounded in Stabbing amid Surge in Settler Attacks

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – An illegal Israeli settler was seriously wounded in a stabbing near Osarin in the occupied West Bank on Monday, as Israeli settlers attacked Palestinians and damaged property and electricity infrastructure in the same area earlier in the day.

The Israeli settler was seriously wounded in a stabbing attack near the village of Osarin, south of Nablus in the occupied West Bank, on Monday, as tensions continue to rise amid Israeli regime raids and settler attacks across the occupied territory.

Israeli Army Radio said a Palestinian man got out of a vehicle near a farm in Osarin and stabbed an Israeli man several times before fleeing the scene.

The Israeli regime’s army cordoned off the area and launched a search for the alleged perpetrator.

Israel’s Channel 12 reported that the wounded settler was taken by helicopter to a hospital in serious condition.

The incident came amid a renewed escalation of Israeli settler attacks and Israeli regime military raids across the occupied West Bank.

Palestinian media reported on Monday that settlers attacked Palestinians and damaged an agricultural shed and electricity infrastructure in Beita and Osarin, south of Nablus.

The escalation follows a series of recent settler attacks and Israeli army raids that have killed Palestinians and intensified anger among Palestinians across the occupied West Bank. Reuters reported that two Palestinian teenagers were killed on Sept. 2 during an attack involving Israeli settlers and army troops in al-Mughayyir village near Ramallah.

Human Rights Watch has also reported a sharp rise in settler violence in the occupied West Bank, saying the violence has been accompanied by intensified Israeli military action.
