Martyrs’ Blood Not to Be Forgotten: IRGC Chief

In a message issued on Thursday, Major General Ahmad Vahidi condemned the latest war crime committed by the terrorist US military that involved the bombing of a wedding ceremony in a coastal city in Iran’s southern province of Hormozgan.

The denunciations came after four civilians, including a child, were killed and 68 others injured in a US missile strike on Tuesday hit a wedding celebration, which was being held at a private home in the city of Kuhestak, in Sirik County, Hormozgan Province, bordering the Strait of Hormuz.

“Once again, the evil and demonic face of America has been revealed to the world in a terrorist and inhuman act aimed at removing joy and happiness from the life of the noble Iranian nation and creating terror among innocent civilians,” Major General Vahidi said in his message.

“This horrific crime, which took place in the safe haven of our beloved homeland and among a group of innocent women, men and children at a wedding celebration, shows the depth of the long-standing enmity and hatred of the enemies of the revolution and the Islamic system, and their helplessness and desperation in the face of the height of resistance and steely will of the people of this land,” he stated.

“I offer my condolences to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the great Iranian nation, and especially to you, the grieving and suffering families of (the victims of) this great crime.”

The IRGC chief added that shedding of the pure blood of these innocent martyrs will not go unpunished.

The IRGC and other powerful armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been the guardians of the sanctity of the blood of these dear ones and other martyrs of the authority of Islamic Iran in the second and third imposed American-Zionist wars, especially the Battle of Hormuz, and will be the guardian of the security and peace of the nation and the Islamic country with all their might and strength, he emphasized.

The memory of the martyrs will always remain alive and eternal in the historical memory of the Iranian nation, he concluded.
