In a message released on Tuesday morning, Araqchi congratulated Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Major General Ali Abdollahi, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Brigadier General Kiomars Heidari, Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Ahmad Vahidi, Deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Major General Mostafa Izadi, IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Ali Ozmaei, and Commander of the Basij Force Hojjatoleslam Hossein Taeb on the new appointments and responsibilities entrusted to them by Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei --the Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Armed Forces.
In his message, Araqchi said the trust placed in the six commanders reflected their years of efforts, experience and valuable service in defending Iran and safeguarding the country’s security, independence and territorial integrity.
He said their record of service has also been clearly demonstrated during the two recent imposed wars, when they displayed steadfastness and strong defense of Iran.
Araqchi hoped that the commanders would continue to serve successfully under the guidance and directives of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces.
The foreign minister further expressed hope that they would draw on their valuable experience and the knowledge accumulated during their years of service to continue safeguarding Iran’s security, dignity and power.
