An Israeli military patrol entered the village of al-Samadaniya al-Gharbiya in the Quneitra countryside on Saturday, local sources said.
Israeli soldiers destroyed farmland belonging to the village’s residents during their presence in the area, the sources added.
Eyewitnesses said the patrol consisted of several armored vehicles and bulldozers, which began extensive destruction of orchards and fertile farmland upon entering the village.
Separately, Syrian news sources reported earlier Saturday that Israeli forces had entered the village of Jabata al-Khashab in the northern Quneitra countryside and detained a young resident of the area.
It is not the first time Israeli forces have entered Quneitra and southern Syria.
The Israeli regime has repeatedly targeted the area with air and ground strikes since the start of the Syrian war.
The attacks have intensified since the fall of the government of Bashar al-Assad, evolving into repeated ground incursions, the establishment of checkpoints, and the occupation of parts of the buffer zone.
The Israeli regime has justified the incursions by citing “border security,” while political observers describe them as part of a broader policy of occupying Arab territory.
