The Army announced on Friday that the strike was carried out during the 27th phase of Operation Thunderbolt in response to recent aggression by the "terrorist US military" against Iran and its "brutal attack" on a residential house on Qeshm Island.
According to the statement, the Army's suicide drones struck fighter jet shelters, satellite communication systems, and equipment warehouses at Ahmad Al Jaber Air Base in Kuwait.
The Army said the base has played a major role in US aerial and surveillance operations, noting that it serves as one of the "vital centers of air support" for the US military beyond its operational role.
The statement condemned the US attack on civilian homes in Qeshm, calling it "a blatant violation of humanitarian principles" and "another example of the war crimes of the deceitful enemy."
It stressed that "crimes, sanctions and threats" would only make Iran "more united and cohesive in its Sacred Defense."
The Army further said that the "decisive, extensive and massive attacks" carried out by the Army and the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) have made it "extremely costly and difficult" for the enemy to intercept Iranian drones and missiles despite deploying and reinforcing its most advanced air defense systems.
It added that the "malicious enemy" has been forced to impose "strict censorship" to prevent reports about the damage inflicted, as well as the number of those killed and wounded, from reaching the public.
