IRGC Destroys US Ammunition Depot in Kuwait

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) destroyed a large US ammunition depot and several accommodation facilities at Ali Al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, saying the attack inflicted casualties and heavy damage on American forces.

The IRGC announced on Friday that its forces have targeted a US military facility in Kuwait as part of retaliatory operations against American positions in the region.

In a statement, the IRGC said that its forces, using advanced heavy suicide drones, struck a large ammunition depot at the US base of Ali Al-Salem, causing a series of explosions that completely destroyed the facility.

The statement added that accommodation facilities at the base were also targeted, with six large structures completely destroyed and three others suffering significant damage. It noted that a number of US personnel were killed or wounded in the operation.

The IRGC said the attack was carried out in the 27th wave of Operation Nasr-2 in response to US crimes against Iran.

The statement said the US military has suffered hundreds of deaths and far more injuries during the five-month war of aggression against Iran, adding that the daily evacuation of large numbers of wounded personnel by medical aircraft to a US hospital in Germany is clear evidence of the heavy casualties. It decried Washington for misleading the American public by claiming that fewer than 20 US troops have been killed.

The IRGC urged US media outlets to investigate the actual casualties, military losses and financial costs of the conflict, and to expose government censorship of information provided to the American public.
