In a statement released on Monday, the IRGC addressed the "honorable people of Kuwait", saying that parts of the Arab country's territory have for years been occupied by US forces and used as bases for military operations against Iran and other Muslim people in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Palestine.
The statement noted that 140 days ago the US launched a war of aggression against Iran from those bases, denouncing Washington for killing 168 schoolchildren in Minab and assassinating martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei.
The IRGC further asserted that Kuwait "must not be a safe haven for a terrorist army" that has attacked at least ten Muslim countries over the past decades and killed millions of Muslims, urging Kuwaitis to prevent their territory from being used as a launching point for attacks against Muslim nations.
According to the statement, during the 22nd wave of Operation Nasr-2 conducted in response to repeated US attacks on Iranian territory, IRGC units launched drone strikes that completely destroyed an American early-warning radar system.
It added that another attack hit an aircraft equipment and spare parts warehouse as well as a hangar housing US MQ-9 drones at Ali Al-Salem Air Base, setting several drones ablaze.
The statement concluded by urging the Kuwaiti people to "fulfill their divine duty" and not allow their country's soil to be used as a source of "aggression and the killing of Muslims."
The latest statement follows an earlier IRGC message praising the people and military personnel of Jordan for their cooperation in facilitating strikes on US military positions during the 21st wave of Operation Nasr-2. The IRGC said those operations targeted US facilities in Jordan, including Al-Azraq Air Base and Aqaba Airport, amid ongoing Iranian retaliatory operations against US forces across the region following Washington's attacks on Iran and its violations of the Islamabad MoU.
