Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian made the remarks at a regular news conference while responding to reports that senior US defense officials are considering military action against Cuba, the China Daily reported.
Lin stressed that the threat or use of force in international relations seriously violates the United Nations Charter and endangers world and regional peace and security.
Noting that the UN General Assembly recently voted by an overwhelming majority to continue debates on ending the US economic, commercial, and financial embargo against Cuba, he said this reflected the international community's call for justice in supporting Cuba and opposing the embargo.
