The IRGC’s public relations department announced the operation in Statement No. 8 on Tuesday morning, opening with a Quranic verse: “Fight against them; Allah will punish them by your hands and disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people.”

The statement addressed the “warriors and vigilant nation” of Islamic Iran.

“The valiant fighters of the IRGC’s naval and aerospace forces, in the second stage of the second wave of Operation Nasr 2, using the codeword ‘Ya Li Tharat al-Hussain,’ in response to the acts of aggression by the child-killing US military, struck the fleet of the Great Satan’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain with missiles and drones, setting its fuel depots ablaze, and struck and destroyed the Patriot radar, the fleet’s air-control radar, as well as a C-RAM early-warning radar system,” the statement said.

“In this stage, the control and monitoring center for unmanned guided boats was also completely destroyed,” it added.

“The reciprocal operation continues,” the IRGC said.

The statement closed with a Quranic verse, affirming that “victory comes only from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise.”
