In a message posted on his X account on Wednesday, Araqchi praised the Iranian nation's civilization, culture, and moral values, emphasizing that Iranians remain steadfast in the face of offensive remarks and intimidation.
“Addressing the Civilized and Courageous Nation of Iran with derogatory language does not diminish its Greatness,” he said.
“Iranians are known for their civility, culture, and strong moral values. We do not answer vulgarity with vulgarity, but with action: fearlessly and with great valor,” the foreign minister added.
Araqchi's remarks came after US President Donald Trump declared that the interim agreement reached between Tehran and Washington last month was effectively "over".
Trump also used derogatory language to describe Iranian officials, calling them "scum" and "sick people" during remarks to reporters.
