Addressing the Tasua night ceremony held at the mausoleum of Imam Khomeini (RA) in southern Tehran on Wednesday, President Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of unity, solidarity, and coordinated national efforts in overcoming external challenges and preserving Iran’s strength and dignity.
He said hostile actors have continuously sought to create crises and exert pressure against the Islamic Republic, but Iran, relying on divine support, national unity, and wise leadership, has managed to maintain its honorable and powerful position in the region and the world.
Pezeshkian stated that Iran is now recognized in the region as a dignified and influential power, noting that enemies had assumed their military and political pressure would achieve their objectives within days, but the Iranian Armed Forces, including the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), the Army, commanders, and fighters, disrupted their calculations through sacrifice and resistance.
He added that a shared understanding now exists among the heads of branches of power, the Supreme National Security Council, and other state bodies, and that all achievements are the result of collective cooperation involving the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, the people, the Armed Forces, security institutions, and the government.
Referring to growing solidarity among Islamic countries, Pezeshkian noted that unity within the Muslim world is expanding more than before, with nations including Pakistan, Iraq, Lebanon, and others in the region expressing support for the Iranian people.
The president further emphasized that Iran continues to pursue a policy of strengthening unity and cohesion in the Islamic world through engagement and cooperation with neighboring countries.
