Speaker of the Iranian Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, who also heads Iran’s negotiating team, accompanied by Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi, arrived in Muscat on Monday and met with Omani Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Albusaidi.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the expansion of bilateral cooperation as well as efforts aimed at consolidating Iranian arrangements for the management of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Iranian negotiating delegation, known as “Minab 168”, traveled to Muscat following the conclusion of talks in Switzerland.
Enhancing bilateral cooperation and holding negotiations on Iranian arrangements for managing the Strait of Hormuz are the main focus of the meetings in Muscat.
