Touraj Dehqani, managing director of Pars Oil and Gas Company, announced on Sunday that the 11th well at Platform B of South Pars Phase 11 (SPD11B) has entered the production cycle following the successful completion of drilling, well completion, flow testing, acidizing and connection to the platform.
He said the new well has added approximately 2.5 million cubic meters per day to the production capacity of Phase 11 and plays an important role in increasing extraction from the border section of the shared South Pars gas field.
Dehqani noted that daily production from Phase 11 has now exceeded 26 million cubic meters of rich gas, adding that the increase contributes to the stable supply of feedstock for South Pars refineries while also helping safeguard shared resources and raise Iran’s share of output from the giant gas field.
According to the official, daily production from the phase has now surpassed 26 million cubic meters, marking an increase of around 117 percent in less than two years.
