In a statement released on Sunday, the Intelligence Ministry said intelligence operations carried out with public cooperation led to the arrest in western Iran of a suspect accused of maintaining contact with an operative linked to the Israeli regime and attempting to gain access to sensitive governmental data and computer systems to transfer classified information. Authorities said electronic equipment and other items were seized during the operation.
The ministry also announced the dismantling of a four-member operational and intelligence cell in southeastern Iran, saying the group had ties to terrorist and Takfiri organizations and intended to conduct sabotage and terrorist activities.
According to the statement, the operation resulted in the seizure of weapons and ammunition and was conducted with the participation of security forces.
In a separate operation, the ministry said 126 individuals identified as field operatives and organizers of the enemy’s street disruption network were arrested in three provinces during the conflict period.
Authorities said the detainees included individuals with previous criminal records and links to anti-security activities, adding that weapons and other materials were confiscated and that investigations remain ongoing.
