US Attacks Undermine Ceasefire, Araqchi Tells Kallas

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi condemned recent US attacks on targets inside Iran during a phone call with the EU foreign policy chief, warning that the strikes have rendered the ceasefire situation ineffective and that Washington bears responsibility for the consequences.

During a telephone conversation on Thursday with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaja Kallas, Araqchi discussed the latest regional developments following the aggressive US attacks against locations in Iran.

The Iranian foreign minister strongly condemned the recent US actions, describing them as a clear violation of the United Nations Charter and international law.

He stated that the American attacks have effectively undermined the ceasefire arrangement and warned that the US would be responsible for any dangerous consequences resulting from the escalation.

Araqchi also criticized the silence of UN member states in response to the attacks, cautioning that international inaction would contribute to growing regional and global insecurity.
