Qalibaf on Wednesday convened a meeting with Iran’s economy minister, oil minister, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran, the head of the Plan and Budget Organization, and the minister of industry, in order to elevate the level of interactions with China and coordinate the administration’s economic team in presenting its priorities and demands in bilateral relations.
During the meeting, Qalibaf outlined recent developments and Iran’s plans regarding relations with China in light of Iran’s new policy approach.
The administration’s economic ministers also raised a number of key points regarding China’s economic conduct during the US-Israeli imposed war against Iran, as well as during the period when the Strait of Hormuz was closed.
Important issues in bilateral relations were reviewed in detail, and it was agreed that proposals aimed at enhancing cooperation and addressing existing challenges would be submitted to Iran’s special representative.
The participants also examined the ways to strengthen convergence and cooperation in order to adopt a unified approach toward advancing relations with China.
