During the Tuesday call, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian congratulated the Malaysian government and nation on the Islamic holiday, describing Eid al-Adha as an occasion marked by divine mercy, blessings, and spiritual renewal for the Muslim world.

He expressed hope that the values and messages associated with the holiday would further strengthen unity and cooperation among Islamic nations.

The Iranian president said greater cohesion within the Muslim world could help mobilize collective action against the crimes committed by the Israeli regime and the United States.

Pezeshkian also commended the Malaysian prime minister for his stance regarding recent Israeli and US actions, thanking him for supporting efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability at the international level.

Referring to bilateral ties, the Iranian president said Iran and Malaysia have long enjoyed friendly and wide-ranging relations and stressed the need to further broaden cooperation in economic, cultural, and social sectors.

He also invited Prime Minister Anwar to visit Tehran in order to advance bilateral understandings and accelerate the implementation of joint cooperation initiatives.

For his part, Prime Minister Anwar extended Eid greetings to the Iranian government and people and expressed hope that the occasion would bring prosperity, success, and well-being to Muslim nations, particularly the peoples of Iran and Malaysia.

The Malaysian premier also emphasized the need for solidarity among Muslim countries in confronting oppression and injustice, expressing hope that Islamic nations would adopt a united stance in facing common challenges.
