Nicaraguan City Names Street after Iranian Schoolchildren Martyred in US Strike

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – Authorities in the Nicaraguan port city of Corinto have named one of the city’s streets “Minab Angels” in commemoration of Iranian schoolchildren who lost their lives in a deadly attack on a primary school in southern Iran on February 28 during the US-Israeli aggression.

The initiative was carried out in coordination with the Iranian embassy in Managua following consultations with municipal officials in Corinto, who agreed to dedicate a street to the memory of the victims.

The name pays tribute to students from the ‘Shajareh Tayyebeh’ elementary school in the city of Minab who were martyred after the school was struck during US-Israeli attacks on Iran.

The tragedy has drawn international attention and has come to symbolize the suffering of Iranian children amid acts of violence targeting civilians.

Earlier in the month, a memorial event honoring the late students was also held at Bandar Abbas Park in Corinto.
