Speaking during a visit to the agency by First Vice President Mohammad Reza Aref, Hassan Salariyeh said that with the support of the administration and the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, this industry has made valuable achievements and its development path has gained acceptable momentum.
Referring to the main pillars of the space field, he said designing and building satellites, satellite carriers, launch bases, satellite control and operations centers, satellite data acquisition ground stations, as well as monitoring, processing, and creating added value from data, constitute the 6 main pillars of Iran’s space industry.
Salariyeh added that that appropriate infrastructure has been developed at the national level and the assets and capabilities of the space industry have been distributed throughout the country; an issue that has provided the basis for the growth of capable knowledge-based companies and has accelerated the development of this technology.
Highlighting strategic projects of the country’s space industry, Salariyeh pointed to the completion of the first experimental model of the Martyr Soleimani satellite system, which was unveiled simultaneously with Space Technology Day last year.
He added that the design and construction of the Pars 3 satellite, the Nahid 3 telecommunication satellite, the radar measurement payload, research projects 1, 2, and 4, as well as the Saman orbital transfer block are other important projects of the space industry that are currently being implemented, and new achievements in this field will be introduced soon.
