The war game, codenamed “Martyred Leader Imam Khamenei”, was conducted by the Mohammad Rasulullah Division of the IRGC in Tehran, centered on countering heliborne operations.

Commander of the division and head of the exercise, Brigadier General Hassan Hassanzadeh, said the IRGC and Basij commando battalions and teams partaking in the drill are in full readiness.

He said all previously rehearsed scenarios, as well as team and individual tactics and techniques against the enemy in any terrain, were practiced and evaluated during the war game.

Hassanzadeh added that enhancing combat capabilities to confront any movement by the American-Zionist enemy was among the objectives and scenarios of the exercise, noting that the drill has been successfully carried out and all of its goals have been achieved.

The exercise was held over five days and nights in operational areas around Tehran, focusing on confronting heliborne operations and conducting anti-heliborne training.
