The final of the men’s shot put competition at the Asian Beach Games, held in Sanya, China, featured nine athletes from five countries, including two representatives from Iran competing for top honors.
The competition included athletes from Iran, China, Sri Lanka, Thailand, and Uzbekistan, with each participant attempting three throws to record their best result and qualify for the final standings.
At the end of the event, Ajami Bakhtiarvand claimed the gold medal with a throw of 20.17 meters. A Chinese athlete finished second with a throw of 19.95 meters to take the silver medal, while another representative of the host nation secured bronze with a mark of 19.69 meters.
Mehran Khorand, Iran’s other representative in the event, placed fifth with a throw of 17.63 meters.
The athletics competitions at the Sanya Asian Beach Games have now concluded for the Iranian delegation.
