The IRGC Intelligence Organization announced that, through a series of operations in the provinces of Kurdistan and Kermanshah, multiple teams affiliated with anti-revolutionary groups were identified and neutralized.
It said the groups, supported by the United States and the Zionist regime, were seeking to pave the way for enemy military attacks from Iran’s western borders.
In Kurdistan Province, the IRGC Intelligence Organization reported carrying out complex intelligence operations that resulted in the dismantling of several organizational cells of Kurdish separatist groups. Eleven individuals were arrested, one was killed, and eight RPG launchers along with more than 2,000 rounds of related ammunition were seized.
Additionally, 73 individuals linked to anti-revolutionary groups operating domestically were arrested. Another smuggling team was dismantled, with the seizure of 10 AK-47 rifles, 2,250 rounds of ammunition, two hunting weapons, seven RPG launchers, 90 explosive detonators, and several satellite internet devices.
In Kermanshah Province, the IRGC Intelligence Organization said its covert operations led to the identification and arrest of 155 individuals affiliated with anti-revolutionary groups. Among them, 144 were detained in connection with illegal arms trading, with 17 weapons and 1,200 rounds of ammunition confiscated.
It also pointed to the arrest of four spies linked to the Israeli regime’s Mossad, with significant quantities of weapons, pellets, gunpowder, detonators, and equipment used in the production of pellet ammunition seized. It said these individuals had been rewarded by Mossad for their activities.
Furthermore, seven separatist elements involved in manufacturing improvised explosive devices and procuring illegal weapons with the aim of attacking government and military sites were identified and arrested.
