Speaking at a ceremony marking the departure of the first group of Iranian pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, the representative of the Leader in Hajj and pilgrimage affairs and the supervisor of Iranian Hajj pilgrims, said that the presence of Iranian pilgrims in the holy sites reflects coordination and unity within the Islamic community.
Hojjatoleslam Abdol-Fattah Navab explained that the organization of this year’s Hajj pilgrimage has taken place in accordance with the command, approval, and viewpoint of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
The cleric added that the matter has also been reviewed by the Supreme National Security Council of Iran. He emphasized that carrying out the Leader’s directives is a duty and highlighted the need for national unity centered around his leadership, particularly under current circumstances.
The cleric expressed hope that this year’s Hajj would serve as “another winning card” for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
