Iranian President Says Prolonged Conflict Benefits No Side

TEHRAN (Tasnim) – President of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian stressed the need to stand firm against injustice and excessive demands in the face of US-Israeli aggression, noting that continued clashes are not in the interest of any side.

In comments during a meeting with a group of Iranian firefighters and rescue forces on Monday, Pezeshkian emphasized the importance of managing wartime conditions with prudence, wisdom, and the preservation of national dignity.

He stated that efforts are underway to manage the difficult situation in a way that allows the country, in the next stage, to focus on reconstruction and addressing problems through careful planning and concentration.

Referring to the economic and social consequences of war, Pezeshkian noted that after the end of clashes, the country would naturally face challenges in reconstruction, financial resource allocation, and market stabilization. He described these as realities requiring precise management and public cooperation.

The president also expressed appreciation for the presence and support of the Iranian people, saying their participation in streets and public arenas provides valuable backing for overcoming crises. At the same time, he stressed that moving forward requires realism and planning to manage the consequences of the imposed war and rebuild the country.

The president further underlined the importance of avoiding escalation, stating that while Iran must stand firm against injustice and excessive demands, the continuation of conflict is not in anyone’s interest—neither Iran’s nor its adversaries’, nor the region’s future or coming generations.

He added that the more issues can be managed through logic and in a calm environment, the better it will be for all parties.

Pezeshkian also wished health and well-being for rescue personnel and expressed hope for the swift end of the war, stressing that his administration will spare no effort in serving the people and supporting operational forces.
