In a statement marking the anniversary of establishment of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Commander of Iran’s Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters Major General Ali Abdollahi highlighted Iran’s strategic power and readiness.
He said the Iranian nation takes pride in the IRGC and other defending forces for inflicting heavy missile and drone strikes on the Zionist enemy and “terrorist America,” pushing them into exhaustion and forcing them into a desperate call for a ceasefire.
The commander further noted that the Iranian people have continued their strong and widespread presence in public arenas and streets in support of the Armed Forces.
Iran’s Armed Forces, together with the government and the people, remain united under the full guidance of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei and are fully prepared to respond decisively, conclusively, and immediately to any threats or hostile actions, he warned.
The general also stressed that Iran’s Armed Forces, from a position of superiority, would not allow the “liar and delusional US president” to exploit the situation or fabricate false narratives about the battlefield, particularly regarding developments in the Strait of Hormuz, adding that Iran would respond appropriately to any breach of commitments.
