In a phone conversation with his German counterpart Johann Wadephul on Friday, Araqchi explaining the latest developments related to the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran.
He emphasized the importance of all countries taking a responsible stance in order to protect international law and the principles of the United Nations Charter.
Recalling the repeated breaches of obligations by the United States and the crimes committed during the two imposed wars over the past year, Araqchi considered the decision of the Islamic Republic of Iran to accept a ceasefire as a basis for achieving a complete end to the war, compensating for the damages caused to Iran, and holding the aggressors accountable as a very responsible action that needs to be appreciated by all parties.
During the conversation, the German foreign minister voiced support for the cessation of the war and emphasized the need to stop the Israeli attacks on Lebanon.
Wadephul expressed hope that the upcoming negotiations between Iranian and US delegations in Islamabad, Pakistan, will lead to the return of peace and stability to the region.
