In a joint statement released on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters stated that after 40 days of steadfastness, resistance, and the conscious presence of the people in the arena, along with the relentless struggle of the brave military forces against the blatant and unlawful aggression of the American-Zionist enemies, they were ultimately compelled to accept the terms proposed by Iran and submit to them.
Following the 12-day imposed war in June 2025, the Islamic warriors, carrying a wealth of experience from 47 years of struggle and the 12-day defense, prepared themselves for a more crushing, longer, and wider war, driven by profound distrust of the enemy, it added.
After the enemy's failures during the American-Zionist plot in January 2026, they initiated another aggression on February 28, targeting Iran’s dear Leader, a number of commanders, and several citizens, which prompted the Armed Forces to immediately launch a swift, heavy, and impactful attack against the enemies, employing the orders and strategies previously laid out by the martyred Leader, the statement added, noting that the enemies had never anticipated such strength and authority from the Iranian Armed Forces.
With each passing day of the war, the American and Zionist enemies faced increasingly heavy and crushing blows, and new surprises, as the scope of the conflict expanded across the region, the statement said.
Thanks to the initiative of the powerful Iranian Armed Forces, control of the war was taken from the enemy, who suffered nothing but heavy casualties, numerous military deaths, and extensive infrastructural damage, it added.
According to the statement, the brave Iranian Armed Forces, including the Army, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), Police forces, defense industry personnel, and valorous Basij fighters, delivered blows to the bases, deployment centers of the US army in the region, and the child-killing Zionist army in the occupied territories.
By targeting critical, sensitive, and important military, security, and economic sites, the Iranian forces humiliated and degraded the American and Zionist enemies, demonstrating that a powerful Iran is capable of decisively putting any adversary back in their place and forcing them to submit and retreat, the statement said.
