In a message posted on his X account on Sunday amid the ongoing US-Israeli war of aggression, Araqchi decried a pattern of attacks on Iran’s intellectual infrastructure, including universities and nuclear facilities.
He framed the strikes as part of a broader effort to undermine Iran’s scientific advancement, while asserting that such actions would ultimately prove counterproductive.
“Israel and its partner-in-crime believe that knowledge can be bombed away,” the Iranian foreign minister said.
“It's reflected in the murders of Iran's scientists and attacks on Iran's nuclear sites, and now universities,” he added.
“Reality check: your actions ooze of desperation and only inspire more pursuit of knowledge,” Araqchi reminded the US and the Zionist regime.
The US and the Israeli regime launched a large-scale unprovoked military campaign against Iran following the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, along with several senior military commanders and civilians on February 28.
The attacks have involved extensive aerial strikes on both military and civilian locations across Iran, causing significant casualties and widespread damage to infrastructure.
In response, the Iranian Armed Forces have carried out retaliatory operations, targeting American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and at regional bases with waves of missiles and drones.
