The Kremlin said on Saturday that Putin conveyed the message to Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
In his message, Putin assured Iranian leaders and citizens that Russia remains committed to its alliance with Iran during difficult times.
He also expressed hope for a successful resolution to the ongoing US-Israeli war, according to the statement.
Meanwhile, Putin had earlier sent a message on February 9 congratulating Ayatollah Khamenei on his election as the new leader of the Islamic Republic.
Turning to the broader context, Russia has consistently condemned actions by Washington and Tel Aviv since the escalation of Israeli-US aggression against Iran in late February.
Moscow has also offered to assist in easing tensions and addressing regional crises.
The latest escalation began on February 28, when the United States and Israel launched a new round of unprovoked attacks on Iran, roughly eight months after initiating a war of aggression against the country.
In response, Iran carried out retaliatory strikes, launching waves of missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli-occupied territories as well as US bases and interests across the region.
