The IRGC announced in a statement on Wednesday night that the 63rd wave of Operation True Promise 4 against oil facilities associated with the US in the region was conducted with strength, dedicating the achievement to the late Iranian minister of intelligence and other martyrs of the intelligence community.
According to the statement, the IRGC forces responded to the “deceiving and lying enemy” which had targeted some energy facilities of the Islamic Republic of Iran. It said the hostile act of aggression against Iran was taken to suppress the voices of those who have been protesting in the streets against recent aggressions for the past 16 nights and to retaliate against the Iranian nation.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran had no intention of escalating the conflict to oil facilities, nor did it wish to harm the economies of friendly neighboring countries. However, following the enemy’s aggression against energy infrastructures, the situation has effectively entered a new phase of warfare. The necessity to defend Iran's infrastructure has compelled the IRGC to target energy facilities linked to the United States and American stakeholders,” the statement added.
The IRGC noted that its offensive action was taken in response to the enemy's malice, adding that a series of oil facilities considered to be in America’s interests in the region were set ablaze corresponding to the level of damage inflicted on Iran.
It reminded the American and Zionist aggressors that they have made a grave mistake by attacking the energy infrastructure of the Islamic Republic, saying the response to this act is currently being executed.
The IRGC warned that if such actions are repeated, subsequent attacks on the enemy’s energy infrastructures and that of their allies will continue unabated until complete destruction, stressing that Iran’s response will be far more severe than the Wednesday night’s actions.
In a significant escalation of hostilities, the United States and the Zionist regime initiated an extensive and unprovoked military offensive against Iran in the wake of the assassination of Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei along with several high-ranking military officials and civilians on February 28.
This aggression has comprised a series of intensive aerial bombardments on both military installations and civilian areas throughout Iran, leading to considerable loss of life and extensive destruction of civilian infrastructure.
In retaliation, the Iranian Armed Forces have launched a series of counteroffensive operations, directing missile and drone strikes at American and Israeli positions in the occupied territories and various regional military bases.
