Hezbollah’s retaliatory operation initiated after the Zionist regime launched heavy airstrikes on Beirut and southern suburbs of Lebanon early Wednesday, escalating its aggression amid intensified resistance operations by Lebanese forces.
The airstrikes targeted areas in Beirut, particularly the southern suburbs (Dahieh), as well as Tyre and other towns in southern Lebanon. Reports indicate that three consecutive strikes on Dahieh killed six people and wounded 24 others. The Zionist regime's army has expanded evacuation warnings to include Tyre city, camps, and neighborhoods, displacing thousands of residents.
The Lebanese Ministry of Health confirmed that a fresh wave of Israeli attacks on Baalbek left four people martyred and seven injured. Meanwhile, Hezbollah's military wing announced the launch of "Khaybar 1" operations, describing them as a response to the regime's aggression.
Hezbollah forces targeted multiple Israeli settlements in northern occupied territories, including Kriat Shamouna, Mattla, Malakia, Dishon, Aviuim, Kfar Blum, Ramat Naftali, Zarit, Shatula, Ivin Menachem, and Beit Hillel.
The movement also struck the Miron base, a key center for overseeing aerial operations, as well as the Ghafya base in eastern Safed, known for its drone control capabilities.
Further targets included Israeli regime's northern regional command headquarters at Dadou base, Ein Zaitim, Umyaad, and Shimshon bases near Lake Tiberias. Hezbollah stated that these operations aim to dismantle the regime's military infrastructure and pressure it to cease its aggression against Lebanon.
The Zionist regime's continued airstrikes have exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon, with thousands forced from their homes under the pretext of "security." International observers warn that such escalations risk further destabilizing the region, but the regime shows no signs of de-escalation despite repeated calls from the international community.
